Bioalpha to market health supplements to the police

KUALA LUMPUR: Bioalpha Holdings Bhd’s unit Mediconstant Pharmacy Sdn Bhd (MPSB) plans to market its products on the Royal Malaysia Police premises.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the health supplement firm said the Constant Pharmacy chain owner, had on Wednesday signed a pact with Koperasi Polis Diraja Malaysia Bhd (KPD) to collaborate in the promotion, sales and marketing of Bioalpha’s products through MPSB’s pharmacy outlets and on the premises of the police.

The collaboration agreement will remain in force for a year, and each party may terminate the agreement by providing a 30-day notice to the other party.

Bioalpha, whose brands include Apotec and Nushine, already has a strategic partnership with Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Bhd (Angkasa), a union of cooperatives, to offer franchise opportunities to the 8 million Angkasa members.

The biotech firm has said it planned to grow its Constant Pharmacy operation through the franchise model in order not to burden its balance sheet.
