Gratifying spreads await foodies at The Cafe

THE Cafe in Berjaya Penang Hotel (formerly known as Georgetown City Hotel) will definitely spoil you for choice with its smorgasbord of culinary delights.

The International Buffet Lunch on weekends features a mouth-watering spread of local specialties and flavours from around the world.

Start off with a variety of salads and appetisers while soups are a choice of cream of asparagus, sup ayam, prawn bisque or Chinese soup of the day.

Main dishes comprise of kambing masala, udang masak padang, Nestum deep-fried chicken, stir-fried green shell mussels, beef with mushroom ragout and vegetable chicken tangine.

The buffet would not be complete without action stalls serving grilled seafood, laksa Johor, mee mamak, roti jala, Singapore fried bee hoon and pasembur, to name a few.

There are six types of desserts such as batik chocolate cake, mango mousse cake, bubur pengat pisang, fruit jelly and tartlets.

Available from 12.30pm to 3pm, the buffet lunch is priced at RM38 nett per adult and RM28 nett per child/senior citizen.

For lunch on weekdays, patrons can opt for the Promotion of the Day — ayam percik (Monday and Thursday), chicken rice (Tuesday and Friday) or tandoori chicken (Wednesday).

There is also a noodle station featuring mee ketam, Penang laksa, Hokkien mee and curry mee on a rotational basis, with each priced at RM7.90 nett.

Dinner time is yet another gastronomic adventure with the Oriental Buffet with Teochew Porridge on Fridays and International Buffet on Satur-days.

The oriental buffet is priced at RM31 nett for adults and RM25 nett for children/seniors while the international buffet costs RM48 nett per adult and RM36 nett per child/senior.

Also available are value-for-money set menus — RM28 nett for two persons and RM55 nett for four persons.

The set lunch is served from noon to 2.30pm on weekdays and the set dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday.
