COME next month, MULA Car International Sdn Bhd, an e-hailing app on mobile devices, is expected to expand its service that includes delivery service for parcels and goods.
Its business and marketing director Ch’ng Wei Ern said MULA drivers would personally deliver them when they did not pick up passengers in their vehicles.
“One can use MULA app to get a MULA car to deliver parcels, corporate documents or even gifts,” he said in Penang.
Ch’ng said another safety feature was the MULA PINK service meant for female passengers.
“The persons behind the wheels will be women, as 30% of our drivers are female who are mostly single mothers,” he said at the company headquarters in Bagan Ajam on Tuesday.
Set up in September last year, the Penang-based company operates its own fleet of new cars to provide safety and comfort for the passengers.
With 140 cars serving both the island and mainland, it has three types of e-hailing services, namely the Instant Service, Pre-Book Service and Chartered Service.
“The Instant Service is meant for immediate car-booking activities, while Pre-Book Service is for pre-planned car booking requirements, up to one week in advance.
“The Chartered Service is either for half-day or full-day bookings.
“Our cars are equipped with hidden GPS trackers, tyres fitted with pressure monitoring system and an SOS button in the cabin.
“We have engaged security company Fast Lane to provide 24-hour emergency support.
“Our cars and service have surpassed requirements of authorities, and our drivers are stringently vetted before they are allowed to ferry passengers,” Ch’ng said.
MULA Car is the gold sponsor for the Star FitForLife Fun Run 2017 this Sunday.
A total of 8,000 pieces of RM10 off (RM5 x 2pcs) promo code vouchers worth RM80,000 will be given out to participants of the run, with an additional RM40,000 cash for the event.
